Party atmosphere at Grove Stream Park last night!

Shaylin and I got an early call before we began our exciting run of live performances yesterday. A friend of Sandy, Lightnin Lowtide's manager, dropped by to tell us that Sandy was celebrating a birthday, so between the three of us we decorated the place of up right. It was already going to a dynomite evening of music, but to add the festival party atmosphere only enhanced the feeling of fun!

Chandra Deed brought her high-powered vocals to the Grove Stream Park stage at 5PM SLT. Truly a consummate artist, and always fun and interactive with the crowd, Chandra continues to bring the 'A' game to 7th Heaven during her weekly Monday night performances. Also look for a feature article on Chandra soon, right here on the Whispering Winds blog, which will feature the hard work she puts into many of the venues here on 7th Heaven.

Cranston Yordstorm kept the crowd on it's feet during his set, featuring nearly 20 minutes of high-steppin' swing music. Always fun when he sings his 'Train Medley' and people drag out their little choo-choo's. Special thanks to Cranston for going overtime, while we all waited for the birthday girl and Lightnin Lowtide to arrive.

Unfortunately, Lightnin Lowtide suffered a breakdown (relax folks, ONLY his car ... lol) and was unable to make it. Sandy didn't terribly dissappointed, however, as an old friend of her's, Zachariah Loon, came in to play a set for her birthday. Special thanks to Zach for making this an extra special evening for her, and once again, Happy Birthday to Sandy, from all the folks here at Whispering Winds Live!

Galloway, Yordstorm and Breen shone bright at Grove Stream Park last night!

Not without it's share of SL and interne
t kerfuffles, the 3 hours of live performances at 7th Heaven's Grove Stream Park venue were well attended, and
lots of fun. If you were unable to attend, you really missed some fine musicianship.

Antonio Galloway joined us at 3PM, and gave us a high-quality performance of classics from
America's songbook. With just a dash of the lounge sound, he brought his signature vocal
style to each selection.

Unfortunately, due to unavoidable internet issues, Bo Hoyes was unable join us this Friday. (Don't worry, Bo fans, He'll be back NEXT WEEK.) Fortunately, however, Cranston Yordstorm was available and gave us a great set, continuing the jazzy style from the first hour. Thank you, Cranston, for filling in at the last moment.

Mica Breen was our final performer, and started out with a really beautiful country music rendition of a pop ballad, and musically soared over the rest of the hour.

All in all, the evening was well attended, and everyone enjoyed the varying styles of performances. We're all looking forward to having this lineup back next Friday. Thank you all for coming.

Hello from Whispering Winds Master Of The Revels!

Hello everyone,

I'm Cuthbert Aldrin, and I have the honor of being married to one of the most amazing women, Shaylin Morane. She's the light in the darkness, and "doth teach the torches to burn bright" to quote Mr. Shakespeare.

Shaylin has asked me to helm the directorship of entertainment at Whispering Winds (or as I like to call it, Master Of The Revels ... again ... quoting the bard, or his ilk ... or whatever ... lol.)

At any rate, I felt it might be a good idea to introduce myself, so that those who may see me on or around the sim, or approaching a prospective entertainer about performing in the various venues, would know who I am, and what my responsibilities are.

Put simply, I'll be the liaison for Shaylin and the team from Whispering Winds regarding scheduling and venues for sim, which means that if you have any burning questions regarding music and performance on WW, you can feel free to come to me with them, and I will do my level best to provide quick answers. This position was created so that Shaylin and the creative team will have an independent voice in matters of performance, so that they can concentrate on renovations to the physical space.

I bring years of experience in performance art to my position and, rest assured, have the best interests of Shaylin (of course, lol,) 7th Heaven and the Whispering Hearts sim in mind as we progress. It is truly an honor and I look forward to promoting the best that the sim has to offer.

For a host of reasons, the performance schedule has been altered from what it was before the sim was closed for it's two weeks of alterations, and while the venues themselves are still getting touchups here and there, the performance schedule (always subject to change) will remain as it currently stands now with our two big nights being Mondays and Fridays, with one hour performances scattered throughout the week, as always providing the finest in live entertainment for you as you explore the Whispering Hearts sim.

Please note the performance calendar on the upper left corner of this blog, or simply follow the link below to see it on it's own.
